Beyonce is one classy lady

Tonight at the MTV Movie Awards, Kanye West pulled another strange and completely inappropriate stunt. It was just announced that the sweet and popular Taylor Swift won Best Female Video for "You Belong With Me". Taylor blissfully climbed the stage and announced,"I always dreamed about what it would be like to win one of these one day. I never thought it would happen." The crowd happily cheered her on. Just as she was about to continue, Kanye runs up to the middle of the stage and grabs the mic from her. He arrogantly says, "Hey Taylor, I'm really happy for you, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time." In other words, he thinks that Beyonce should have won the award for her video "Single Ladies" instead of Taylor.

The camera immediately pans to reveal a stunned Beyonce and the crowd is too shocked to know whether to cheer or boo. Kanye then leaves with Taylor still standing in the middle of the stage, clutching her Moon Man. When I saw the video of the incident online, I literally cringed. My heart went out to Taylor. I mean, what do you say after something like that? It was supposed to be the biggest moment of her career. It reminded me of the classic horror movie Carrie. She wins the title of Prom Queen and instead of being able to enjoy her happy moment, some jerk dumps a bucket of blood on her. Too bad Taylor didn't have telekineses to give Kanye the punishment he deserves.

An outraged Pink even tweeted "Kanye West is the biggest piece of sh-t on earth. Quote me. My heart goes out to Taylor Swift. She is a sweet and talented girl, and deserved her moment. She should know we all love her."

Out of all this Beyonce managed to save the day with one of the classiest acts I've seen in a while. Later that night, Beyonce won the Best Video Award for "Single Ladies." Looking radiant as ever, Beyonce accepted her award and said,"Wow, this is amazing. I remember being 17-years-old and up for my first MTV award with Destiny's Child. It was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So, I'd like for Taylor to come out and have her moment." She then invited Taylor up on stage to finish her acceptance speech. Now that is a classy lady.
