Wish list: Polaroid PoGo Instant Digital Camera

I was just thinking how cool it would be if we had the technology to print pictures out instantly so I can paste them into my journal without going to the store to get them printed out. Then it dawned on me, of course!

The Old
Do you remember those old point-and-click Polaroid cameras that weighed about 3 pounds and printed your pictures automatically with self-developing film? The pictures would print out black, with the white paper border. You would then shake the picture so that the chemicals move around and mix (I think...) and magically, your picture would appear. They were super popular in the 70s and 80s. Weren't those awesome?

The New
I decided to Google "Polaroid Instant Camera" to see if I could buy a cheap old one. It turns out, Polaroid just came out with a brand new instant-picture digital camera. It's called the Polaroid PoGo! It has the cool feature of instant print-out pictures coupled with the convenience of a digital camera, which lets you choose which pictures to print. You can even crop the 2" x 3" sticky-back pictures, remove red eye, add borders and dates. The picture quality is 5 megapixels (not that great), but I think it can print up to 7 megapixels through interpolation. I'm not sure what they mean by that, but whatever.

It's about $200 for the camera and comes with 10 sheets of photo paper. After that, you can buy a box of 30 sheets of sticky-back photo paper for about $11. I'd really like to get one to see what it's like, but being a broke college student, I'll probably have to wait until I save up enough moolah. In the meantime, if any of you have one, let me know how it is! I'd love to hear what you think of it, even if you don't have one and just want one like me!
